The effect of cognitive-behavioral group therapy on depression and quality of life in patients with chronic renal failure

Background and purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the effect cognitive-behavioral group therapy on depression quality life in patients with chronic renal failure. Materials methods: present a quasi-experimental pretest, posttest design experimental control groups. statistical population included all failure who were for treatment Mehr Madar Hospital Torbat-e-Jam (A city Iran) 2020 among them 30 Cochran formula selected as research sample. And 15 people randomly assigned. process performed both groups once week during 8 sessions 90 minutes (Experiment: Psychoeducation / control: evaluate placebo, round-the-clock share their experiences each other without active role psychologist facilitator). Measurement tools Beck Depression Inventory (II) Quality Life Questionnaire (SF-36). Statistical analysis data using SPSS-23 software. Results: results showed that there significant difference between variables life.
